Meet the team

Jane Flanders - Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Jane has been practicing physiotherapy since 2010; working across the different areas to specialise firstly in musculo-skeletal or MSK physiotherapy. On becoming a mum, Jane's focus moved towards pelvic health physiotherapy, where she has found an immense passion and love for her work.

Currently, Jane has the privilege of leading a fantastic team across Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire, working to improve perinatal pelvic health care from the start of pregnancy up to 12 months postnatal. Jane also works in specialist pelvic floor clinics, alongside the colorectal team at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

Prior to this role, Jane led the Pelvic Health Outpatient Physiotherapy services at both the Royal United Hospital Bath and Sulis Hospital Bath.  Jane has also worked as a senior Physiotherapist in MSK Physiotherapy, both at Sulis and in local private practice.

Never keen on sitting still for too long, Jane has continued her professional development with multiple advanced level accredited pelvic health courses.  The most recent being a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Health with Brunel University, working towards a Masters Degree.

Jane has completed an accreditation in Acupuncture and Advanced Yoga teaching.  These and many other learning experiences contribute to making up Jane's tool kit for treatment.  As a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist, Jane believes that it is key to view the person as a whole to fully understand what treatment approach will be most effective for them.

Jane works with people across their lifespan, meeting them at where they are. For women, be it menopausal issues or recovery from childbirth, and for men and women, pelvic pain or an overactive pelvic floor.  Jane is consistently struck by the profound difference she sees in her patients, when they work with this vital and intimate part of their bodies, to see the impact that optimal pelvic health can really make.

Please get in touch to see how Jane can help you live your best life – Jane is always happy to chat through all things physio and pelvic floor.
